The Al Hussein Society Annual Bazaar 2014

Al Hussein Society (AHS) held its 36th Annual Bazaar on 12th December 2014 at the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan (RACJ), under the Patronage of HRH Prince Raad Bin Zeid. The bazaar offered items from over 35 participating embassies to almost 3,000 shoppers. This year’s venue also allowed AHS to introduce a food court, which was rich in unique dishes from international cuisines.

The bazaar fell on a sunny Friday enabling shoppers to enjoy the outdoor cafe area as well as the different performances that took place. The performances started with the Baptist School band lead by the talented Ms. Barbara Johnson. Carollers from the International Community School entertained the crowds on the upper terrace of the RACJ with some festive songs, while Al Quds folkloric dance group created an atmosphere of joy on the lower terrace through their ‘dabkeh’ dance. Additionally, a group of orphans from the Anjara church took part in the festivities by performing some songs by the entrance of the bazaar. All in all, the event was a success!

AHS children, staff, and Members of the Board are very appreciative of the international corps in Jordan for supporting this event and turning it into one of Amman’s most awaited annual celebrations. The efforts of Ambassadors and their teams help raise vital funds for AHS programs at the center and throughout Jordan.
